Jump Help / Re: maps for wallpogo practice
« on: October 05, 2013, 02:16:49 PM »
All maps have walls.  Find one with regen or use regen, jump on the wall and go up down left right.  You don't have to "complete" anything, in fact that slows down your learning curve.

If the game is running the folder could be locked and causing you the error, dias has a good idea there :)

odd, what program are you using for the bzips?  Also have you tried the obvious in extracting the files to a different directory?  Maybe you're getting a permissions error?

That is really neat how you did the voting system.  I really like how you implemented the work that was done in the other thread listing difficulties.  Great work as always thanks so much.

are they? i dont find a differenence between a ctap with 250+ping from a ctap with 15 ping

As long as your ping is steady the actions you input will report in correct sequence and timing so a steady ping won't effect it.  However if your ping fluctuates than you will have problems obviously.  The biggest issue I find with ctap is frame rates and those changing, the more people on the map the weirder things get and harder it is to do things.

Maybe we could just add a letter or two to the maps on JumpIT so the mappers don't have to do it and we organize the jump servers a bit.  Unless of course Claire wants to seperate demo from soldier with servers :)

The reason I brought this up is because of the flow of JumpIT anyone who plays it knows people consistently vote for demo maps then quit.  If they know what the maps are the server wouldn't empty out as much and people won't get as annoyed.

Can I request having nomenclature in the names of the maps to specify what type of map it is whether it's soldier or demo.  It's hard to keep up which is which especially when it comes to voting on the live public servers.  We already have conc for conc maps why not specific soldier from demo.
