I thought it was a really good idea!

You've obviously thought wrong you may want to rethink your brain solution process as its out of whack.
Not too sure what you just said, but it was just an opinion. No need to come out so rude and criticize it. Other people seem to like it too.

So if you arent sure what I said why do you assume its rude?

Jump Help / Re: Jump trick names?
« on: November 24, 2012, 03:31:34 PM »
Could we have this updated by someone who knows what they're doing.  Lots of time I'm trying to describe what I"m having trouble with but no one seems to use the same name for things.  It would be very handy to have a unified naming scheme so we can discuss them properly.

x_dias, i'm not some exploiter, just a gamer who wanna master tf... if somebody tell me more about it, pls send me private message if you dont wanna make it appear... i promise i'll dont ever publish it, dont wanna get it fixed :) if somebody answer, I'll be so grateful ... and to that scripting, my best job was when i made bhop script in 2 hours, just to make bhop on surf servers a bit easier :D btw.: don't be secretive if somebody asks, you would not like it too...

You're not some exploiter but want to use an exploit?

I started from scratch not too long ago too, and the beginning is extremely difficult.  It's great to put time into a jump but I wouldn't recommend putting over 20 minutes into one jump at a time, I would move to another map or jump for a bit as you will just be frustrated.

The specific jump you are talking about, the initial jump is extremely important.  One thing I over looked and I'm sure many have is making sure the initial jump is timed properly.  Hitting all the keys at the exact same time to get maximum push, it's so important yet so over looked.  If you get the initial jump right and hit the plat form at a decent angle with speed it's very easy.  Also you will notice if you flick forward on those skips it helps.

As for learning like they say just put the time in.  However one thing that I found that helped my learning curve was staying on the harder jump maps and working on those.  It was amazing to see the progress even failing at harder maps I could go back to the easier ones and now crush them.

Good luck man don't get frustrated and always think about what you're doing and why, where your rocket is going.  There are so many little things that make a difference that you can't just fix it quickly.

Star is a great video maker and advertises this site.  I believe I might have found this site through his videos actually.  Be crazy to push him away for no reason.

bind mouse1 "+attack;exec regen"
its not working

Not sure what to tell you.  Works for me.

Will that still work if you hold the mouse down, so never leave onMouseDown?  Sounds like you click on your pogo's while he holds it down.

Jump Help / Re: Skip jumps

Am I beating my head against a wall trying to learn skip jumps with a varying ping from 70-100.  I can`t for the life of me get the proper height on these damn things.  I assume I need to launch the rocket as close to the ground as possible for the height and flick up.
Skips are usually very dependent on how accurate you can get that first jump, often being the biggest factor as to if you are going to make it or not.  The objective is to basically just skim as close as possible to the platforms so that you are as close to the explosion as possible.

From there you decide if you need to go faster or gain more height.  To go higher you want to aim a little bit in front of yourself so that by the time the rocket hits you are directly above it.  For distance/speed you aim downwards so that the rocket ends up behind you.  Now how much you need to adjust isn't really a one answer thing, it's just something you have to learn.

You also normally fire as early as you can so that you ensure you don't start gaining any downward momentum.

Oh ok,

So aim a bit forwards to get higher, didn't realize that.  With the default rocket launcher in tf2 should I also be aiming slightly left to make sure the rocket is under me?

When lining up rockets to hit the ground at the same time (ie 2x sync) while falling.  I believe it's basically shooting as fast as the gun can fire?  Is there a velocity at which you need to reach when falling to have them line up perfectly?

Does anyone know what velocity is required?  Basically the break point.

Also does duck or jump have to be held?

/thanks in advance.
