Also a bonus question came to my mind after you mentioned ping:

Are there any techniques which become vastly different (be it easier or harder) in local servers vs. normal servers with 40-50ish ping? I don't really like jumping offline, it feels a lot different than on regular jump servers. Sync timings at least seem to change a bit. Do the timings change a lot in general when playing locally? I'm mostly interested in how it affects ctapping, I can do quite consistent in ctaps on my regular jump server but when I try them offline, I can't seem to get them as consistently.

Syncs are made much harder with ping. From my own observations, ping seems to make the rocket appear to come from farther behind you when you shoot it; i.e. when falling straight down to do a triple, you'll have to wait longer after you pass your first rocket before you can fire your second if you have higher ping. However, this doesn't actually change where the rocket is, so when you're standing on the ground watching your rockets fly at you, you'll have to be prepared for them to hit you before it looks like they've actually hit you. I can't think of any reason as to why ctaps would be affected by ping, but I could be wrong.

The difficulty curve being completely retarded is a byproduct of my trying to make easy jumps for the wide demographic of players that populate jump servers and then later abandoning that notion because making easy jumps isn't exciting.

For level 4, cheating it is just as hard as doing the actual jump and involves going out of your way to go to the side walls.

5 is easy enough that cheats don't really matter imo.

I left the cheat in on 6 because as far as the jumps go it's roughly equal to/harder than the intended method for 6 and takes longer.

As for 9, I wanted to preserve the aesthetic more than make it more straightforward, so I didn't label the area where the player could go to be reset (next to the chain-link fence). Standing on the chain fence doesn't help you on 9.

I wasn't aware that you could cheat 10 in that way; maybe I'll put a playerclip around those displacements.

I'm pretty sure you're doing all the jumps correctly

agree with stimpack on every one of em lol,fucking hooshooters
few of my own:
-Don't be passive,sure you might win through spam,but it makes for a boring game
-change up your jumps,using the same combo every time makes you predictible as fuck
-ground spam works,but don't make it your one and only strat.
-avoid saying "bg noob cu next time kid"

Yeah, maximum aggro is a more fun way to play imo. I usually end up with someone doubling off my rocket into the hoop or simply jumping behind me and into the hoop more than I get good kills doing that though.

Still more entertaining.
