Alright ran through it with full default loadout

  • The teleports on jump 3, 12, 13 should be moved closer to the wall
  • The shootable part of the end wall on 13 should be textured differently
  • One may die on jump 14, you can put an overheal brush at the bottom, although unneeded
  • 16 is ctappable
  • 17 sync speedshot :(((((, you might want to be careful about making the ramp out of multiple brushes too, especially if they are clipped horizontally.
  • 17-18 connector xDDD
  • I like 19 and 20
  • You can stand on top of the walljump walls on 21, I recommend extending the wall or use illusionary+playerclip instead of teleports/nogrenades
  • I like 24
  • Level select would have been nice

While more and more people have been learning drop wallpogo and increasingly becoming easier, it's still a rather difficult technique, I think 22 should be right before 25.

Detailwise, atm I like that it's clean, but maybe more colours would be nice.

As for optimisation, platforms like on 19 can be func_detail'd to reduce compile time, also handy for grouping brushes together.

The skill curve for the easy course was pretty good, for hard course it's a bit wonky but it's pretty hard to make a difficult map with a good skill curve anyway so whatever. No insane distances and it seems to be tested pretty well.

Overall, I like it, quite fun but possibly towards the end people might not agree so much.

tf_avoidteammates_pushaway 0 has always worked on every server I've been on (and on my own server back then), it could possibly be one of the hundreds of plugins affecting it, but who knows. But you can just use !hide so it doesn't matter all that much I guess.

Using the hide plugin's sm_hide_explosions to disable explosions tbh should be used, they help more than they hinder. According to the creator of the plugin there's no way to disable explosions selectively for each player.

As for alphabetical ordering of maps, I used to use this to create the mapcycle.txt and maplist.txt, but for advanced shit with nominations and rtvs (like how jump iT has it set up now) I have no clue.

AFAIK hint/skip does nothing to vrad, only vvis (edit: and vbsp).

Decrease the lightmap scale of the really large brushes. I usually reduce the entire map's lightmaps if rad size becomes too big though, go to Edit > Select All (I think), bring up the face edit sheet and put a number like 24 or something into the lightmap scale entry.

1. Please put a trigger_hurt brush surrounding your map so we don't die after syncs, fall damage, etc
2. No cap point for either courses :(

Easy course jumps are reaaaally easy and there're no jump numbers in both courses

As for hard course,
- I like jump1
- jump2, I assume it's a skip to sync? I did it by skipping and crouch-syncing at the bottom. I'd also assume that being able to shoot the ending plat is unintended.
- jump8 the wall sticks outs slightly and you can clip on it, also the distance is rather short (did a water sync)
- jump9, the double is a kinda redundant

detailwise, I dunno I guess oddly-shaped, non-toolsblack teleport doors just seem weird to me. Can't say much 'bout the textures cuz I've been using a lot of dev myself :x.

Well, you can try moving the room you're currently in further away from that room you dont want to see, or you can experiment with hint/skip or areaportals but I never actually got them to work (they could be completely irrelevant iunno).
