Pretty much starting over. Even if someone was willing to (and had the knowledge) to change it over to your new steam, they would have to change each entry you have to your new steam. (each entry meaning each speedrun time you have on a given map is separate from any other speedrun entry you have)

This inst the first time pushes have been broken - doubt it will be the last.

Each of those maps are compiled from a source. The only person who has that source is the mapper (or porter).

As for decompiling, thats a whole other bag of tricks.

Long story short, unless Kelao wants to go fix all the ones he ported (which is no small task), the only way they would be fixed is if valve restored how the game engine handles it.

heres the vmf for the spawn room. just drop that in a jump map and set the TP to the start of the map and it should be good (tho might dub check for leaks)

by fullbright and all i mean that and untextured. ill post the vmf, but as far as posting a bsp, its almost unplayable  (but is doable)

Basicly all i did was add a spawn room and a bunch of triggers that i ripped from the hunter trainging map

**to play any training map (inlcuding this vmf) you need to run the map from console:
map <map_name> versus
it should auto make you a hunter***

edit: ill post it later tonight when i have a few more free moments

Hey if any of you play this and enjoy jumping around with the hunter (if not, go DL and play the hunter training map) let me know if you may be interested in playing different jump maps as hunter in l4d/2

Ive done a quick port of jump_rush just for testing (fullbright and all) and it is doable.. for the most part. If more ppl are intersted ill see where this goes...

Afterglow's second jump is half broken. If you slip out at the top before the ramp you get stuck in the push and there is no way down. Can fly around to your hearts content after that ...at the top of the skybox. Anywho tho..

And ya, that skybox isnt meant for being able to see the sides and bottom to say the least.

I am disappointed, I honestly expected more from this community and a thread labeled the science of jump. Instead the only response I get is someone telling me that my statements aren't correct. I'll stir the pot though.


Keep in mind, its christmas break so all the kiddies are online with nothing better to do with their time....

Welcome to the forum. Im more of a lurker, but anyway, the numbers are rather interesting. No one has bothered to break down and publish all this info. We shall see if all of these hard number can help mappers push the jump options.

As for scripts, do what you want. Its not like there is a jump police.

Last summer I went on a diet.  I don't know if it has a name or what, but, I didn't care about fats, cholesterol, etc.  Only carbs.  I limited myself to 30-50g of carbs each day.  It was tough finding stuff to have, but I did it for 1 month.  I lost ~25-30lbs.  That was WITHOUT exercise (in fact, don't do this if you plan on exercising, or you need those carbs).  All it comes down to is fucking doing it. Works the same way backwards.

One of the more common names of this is keto or ketosis.

Calories in / Calories out. That's all there is to it.
to restate for the the ppl that missed it. Calories out can include, but is not limited to, walking, running, sitting, sex, working out, any form of energy usage (yes, even sleep).
