Whatever / Re: What other games do you guys play? :D

I cant stay interested in any games these days... we were only into gw2 for like a week. And tf2 is... well tf2.

SOMEONE MAKE ME LIKE GAMES AGAIN =(

If you want to immerse yourself in several hours of probably the most incredible single-player game I have ever played, try Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It's cheap, brilliant, and can be used after you finish the game to scare your friends.

Although it probably won't last you longer than a week.

Starcraft 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl... it's hard to play games "casually" now though :(

I assume red and blu players still block each other with this enabled?

Yep.

At least in competitive this wont be used i guess.....

Maybe some cheesy shit in highlander where you clip into your sniper to stop him from being headshot by the other sniper?

Chances are sitting around trying to protect your sniper from headshots will waste more time than the time it takes for you to respawn. I'm sure someone will come up with some really clever way to utilize this command though.

Free speech is not permitted. In Jump iT, you don't bend rules--rules bend you.

Unfortunately as time goes on original jumps in movies become harder and harder to come by. So you either have to get demos from godly jumpers, or try to find some sort of jumping niche that hasn't quite been filled yet. :(

Probably has something to do with the recent spambots. Check Klare's announcement.

Great work, I pretty much agree with what everyone else says.

Imo with editing all you really need to do is to make a jump as easily understandable as possible with as little editing as possible. For example, if I do a jump like Quba's on cp_orange in Pretty Jumps, you could thirdperson for a bit just to see exactly how the syncs on that one turned out. This is also the same approach taken by CUBE when he made his BYP comp video, and what he ended up with was more straight-up frags than, say, Cla's BYP comp video (even though these two are fragmovies). Frags/jumps/whatever is your content, and editing is the presentation of content. Editing is never a good substitute for content.

At least in my opinion.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to just play whatever song I want to listen to on youtube or whatever in the background rather than messaging you to ask to micspam and potentially irritate the entire server's occupants?

General Discussion / Re: Map competition
« on: September 10, 2012, 08:22:43 PM »
Or maybe (random idea flying out of my head) you could have set a general shape for the final product of the map (say a giant open space like trix) and then parition that into all sorts of odd shapes and sizes and distribute those partitions to people who'd like to fill them up with mappiness. That way you could also give large chunks of map to ambitious mappers and smaller chunks for less experienced mappers, or those who don't have as much time to spend mapping.

Maybe you could also give some general outline for what you'd like one chunk of the map's innards to look like (i.e add more empty space here) so the map doesn't get too cluttered, or just leave some free space between partitions.
