Jump Help / def. not an airpogo thread
« on: November 02, 2013, 10:49:34 PM »
jk, I can understand how crouched airpogo works, but cant figure how uncrouched key presses are
i tried airpogoing without pressing duck at any time, but at the second pogo, it seems i loose TOO much speed so i cant pull another pogo
am i supposed to keep pressing and letting go crouch? so i keep a low height and decent speed?
some quick explanation would be great, sry for bothering once more

Already did it. I'm digging into this audiophile stuff, but can't understand much. So I'm stuck with waiting for responses from here and on Steam forums.

General Discussion / About headset, dedicated soundcard and stuff
« on: October 04, 2013, 10:57:00 AM »
Welp, posted it originally on a local forum, but got nothing, so I decided give a try on Steam forums (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=34979568#post34979568)  and here

There you go:
Hello everybody. Atm I'm using onboard souncard (my MOBO is ASUS H61) paired with a Siberia v2 (3.5mm jacks), though imo this combo is not offering good positional audio and bass. Already tried using the USB soundcard for Siberia v2, but it's awful. Keeping that in mind, I'd like to know if it's worth using the PC360 without any dedicated soundcard, or if it is better to pair it with some not expensive soundcard, or, still, stick with my Siberia and grab a decent dedicated soundcard. Below there are both screenshots I took that indicates my MOBO model and chipset, and the current audio device.

If you have some knowledge about audio and sh1t, feel free to recommend me something else, it would be really nice!
I'd really appreciate some in-depth explanation, if possible.

PS - I found out recently that my Nvidia videocard driver includes a HD audio driver too, not sure about that (what is the point of that anyway?). Welp, just fyi I'm using GTX 550 Ti, current driver is 327.23

Thank you for reading!

Jump Help / Re: Timer for local servers!
« on: August 30, 2013, 05:45:12 PM »
I would ask a comprehensive guide teaching how to install a jump plugin for local/offline server (timer included and shit), but just a timer plugin is fine, I guess.
Will keep an eye on this thread for sure!

General Discussion / Re: Weird pitch sounds while at offline maps
« on: August 30, 2013, 05:02:01 PM »
Sorry for such a huge bump, but I found out what the heck is this sound: regen/resupply sound. Few months ago I replaced that classic sound for a null one, because I found it really annoying oftenly. Someone in tf2jump provided me a .vpk file that works as the regular "resupply" sound, replacing it with a null sound. This is what causing this weird glitch, the null sound file. Any thoughts about it? This file is named as no-regen-sound.vpk inside my custom folder. During the firts weeks it worked properly, but now it is glitching with these weird pitches (even in vanilla maps!). So, at least I could clarify the hell was going on, now I gotta fix it. Hope this helps, cheers.

just posted same thing in official forums :c

General Discussion / Little doubt ...

Hey, uhm, based on your experience as jumpers, could someone tell me if that last airpogo was done crouching or not?

ROTW #27 - Lambda on jump_twist_beta

I thought that shooting and deting the stickies that fast while crouching could mess up the jump, as it makes you go higher and faster than usual. Maybe he mixed both types of pogoing? I'm not sure, maybe Lambda himself could answer this ;_;
I've been practing airpogo without holding crouch (obviously the initial jump is crouched, but the subsequent are not), so this would help some. Sry for bothering
