In the week leading up to Surf iT closing down and through out this week I have come to the realization that shutting down Surf iT was the worst server decision I have ever made. I have received messages and even emails from people all over the TF2 spectrum telling me how much they have loved that server, and how sad they were that it would be gone. Surf iT has always had 2 main goals: to hopefully introduce some surfers to jumping and to give jumpers something else to do. I became so wrapped up in the fact that the population had dropped that I forgot /shut out the fact that the people who were still there really did love that place. The iT servers envelope more than just jumpers now... and it honestly feels fkin weird without the retarded stepchild surf server.

Surf iT was never supposed to be about the numbers - none of the servers are... I just want them to be servers that people really do love and enjoy, and i truly apologize for pulling the plug. Shes plugged back in now and should be just like when she left. I have no clue if my pro surfing server masters (kelao and panzer) want to come back and help... and while i don't blame them if they dont, I really fucking hope they do.

On that note, stop reading the forums and go fkin surf.



P.S. I am currently disgustingly obsessed with trading... so if you want to thank me or say fuck you to me... please do it in the form of crates n shit.

Time: 2 10 minute halves

-------RULES--------
1. Players cannot be on multiple teams
2. Must sign up before certain date (undecided date)
3. Matches must be played on set time (by you)
4. No cheating or exploiting (dont know what cheats someone would use...)
5. Be respectful and patient
6. 1 pause each half, 5 minutes at most

I'm going to try to hold a feedback hour or so in mumble later today (jan 27th) I NEED feedback on what weapons people want, i'm very indecisive.
Primary: Rocket Launcher (or quake)

Reasons for change: Played a few rounds of bball and would much rather have it just be straight up vanilla, plus feedback from friends list and a post on this thread would rather it that way as well.

Demoman Tutorials / How about some tutorials, Demos?

We have content pretty much everywhere on the site now... EXCEPT under demo tutorials. Whats up with that? Any volunteers to throw a tutorial or two up there? They dont have to be long by any means (check out the soldier ones for example...) but it would be nice to get SOMETHING in there. I'm trying to advertise us a bunch on reddit (haters gonna hate) and people keep asking why we have no demo tutorials... so come on demos!

And if you send me a caber tutorial, I will chop off your fingers. Oh yeah and upvote this shit.

It's been a whole year since the TF2 Jump community forums started by Rush turned into a full blown website.. and I just wanted to take a second to thank EVERYONE for all the support and hard work! A huge thanks of course goes to redwine for making everything you see here... from the site layout/functionality to the ability to view speed runs from jump servers around the world (big thanks to Cranck as well for the plugin!) - the site has really become the ultimate trick jumping resource.

So Happy 1 Year Anniversary TF2Jump.com!

OH and I dont know how I havent mentioned this... but we were recently featured on Community Fortress as well - what a great anniversary present!

So I have been trying to figure out for a while what to do about Surf iT... I am sure anyone who reads IRC is aware that the server has died out drastically... and as much as I love the surfers and that server, I just hate paying for a server that is absolutely dead 75% of the day. Just to give you an idea of where it was a few months ago and its current state, here are the usage charts of all the servers:



So I wanted to get some feedback from those of you who actually play there... what is the deal? Is it worth trying to save the server? Or should I move on to something else...

I'm here to share a little story with you all about the *potentially* greatest TF2 competitive team of all time, and about the man who brought them together. I usually wouldnt even bother taking the time to retell a story that most people probably wont even care about... but this amazing man has become a well known face on the iT servers, and I think people should get to know him a little better. I am talking about our friend Okas, or more recently known as br0kas - Team iT's roster mastermind. Ill break it up in spoilers for the people who use the recent posts feature because I have a lot to say about the biggest hole of lies I have yet to encounter online... here we go.

I'm still somewhat amazed at this guys lie and the level he took it to. As much as I want him to go fuck himself... I am almost curious what he thought would happen when his team had to actually to be nonfiction. Anyways - fuck this guy and do not unban him from any of the iT servers admins.
