Surf iT / SuSurf iT / Surf / SuSurf / EU iT! Admin Information

So when I made Surf iT! I knew NO surfers and my thinking was "how much admining does a surf server really need?" and pretty much just copied the jump admins over to surfit. Well the majority of jump admins hardly even jump anymore, let alone surf, and the few surfers I have given admin to all mysteriously disappear (i think its the surfit admin curse). SO... I am cleaning out the admin list for surf it and looking for new admins. Post here Talk to me if you're interested. Here is the current admin list:

In my ongoing attempt to take over the entire non-normal tf2 world, I would like to introduce the newest member of the gangbang:

It is currently only 6 players, though if it actually gets used I can make it 9 (6 players, 2 spec, 1 reserved slot). Hopefully Raiin will be making a beautiful custom bball map just for us as well... so get in there and play some ball!

I'll be gone til mid next week on a VERY MUCH NEEDED vacation so if you need anything go to conductor. Not that I do anything anyways but yeah. I'm goin electronics free (cept phone of course) so if theres an emergency (i think everything should be paid for though...) people with mah cell can get me.

Alright guys heres what we got... www.bhslaughter.com graciously gave me full control of their terraria servers so lets put them to use! Theyre also putting up a terraria section on the forums and shit so we can show off our awesome shit... so please register on there to show our thanks! Here are the servers:

Contrary to popular belief... Jump iT has a LOT of admins. People who are given admin have either been around forever (old admins were carried over from the old server) or who are actively promoting/contributing in the community. New admins are rarely added on board... and
we are not currently looking for more admins.

If my post stating we arent looking for admins isnt enough and you still are determined to get into the super secret society, start making yourself known on these forums, in irc, and in the server (and i dont mean by being a douche). We do give out admin for generous donations, but that is very rare. Contact myself, Condizzle, or Redwine if you have any questions. If condizzle tells you he is watching anime, please be sure to spam him.

To make my life easier, admins on Jump iT! will also have admin on JuJump iT! Also I am no longer giving admin only to people who make significant contributions to the jump community, but also to awesome members of the iT! community. I know a lot of you have been around for a long long time, and I think that is one of the greatest contributions.
Also, I reserve the right to remove anyones admin for pumpkin abuse, especially if you are crashing the server.

THURSDAY NIGHT JUMP RACES

HOW IT WORKS:
Players will compete on 2 different jump maps. The first person to complete the map wins that map. If we have a different winner for each map, a third tiebreaker map will be played with just the winners competing to determine that weeks race winner.

SIMPLE AS SHIT RULES:
You CANNOT use !hide
You CANNOT use bhop
You CAN use regen
You MUST play as the designated class for that map
During Tiebreaker you must remain in spec unless you one of the winners

IF YOU WANT TO RACE
You must get the password from klanana or conductor. We can both always be found in IRC - Please dont wait until right before the race to get it either. Also if you join late you CANNOT RACE so be there a little early.

- DO NOT JOIN JUMP IT IF YOU ARE NOT PLANNING ON RACING

Minecraft iT [RETIRED] / Server Update to 1.5

I'm currently in the process of updating the server to 1.5... though all our plugins are badass and make the server much nicer, they're making this update about as painful as a fist in the ass.

Server may be up and down today (as I cant really test it while I'm at work - kind of blindly updating) but once its done we will have 1.5!

Update: Everything looks like its working (per diddy) so it should be good to go - you can update your MC and play!

Minecraft iT [RETIRED] / Server status: Server will be 1.4 until Further Notice

UPDATE:

Because we dont know when bukkit will be ready (and a lot of our other addons) we are going to be rolling the server back to 1.4 - When the majority of them are ready we will switch back. The bad news is no updated shit... the good news is all the addons will be working again (lord only knows when the other stuff will be ready).

open up the folder in the rar and just copy the minecraft.jar file into YOUR minecraft bin folder. A quick way to find this is start minecraft -> select Mods and Texture Packs -> Open texture pack folder -> go back one folder to .minecraft then go to bin

When the game asks if you want to update choose NO. If your game doesnt ask you and updates automatically you need to download the newest version: http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp   then copy the minecraft.jar file in

BTW after you change to the old minecraft.jar you will have a minimap - you're welcome! or sorry if you hate it

- Holding SHIFT+Click on something in a chest will immediately drag the selected item(s) into your inventory and vice-versa.
- Birch and Pine/Spruce trees now drop Birch and Pine/Spruce saplings, respectively
- Performance improvements
- Crafting a ladder now produces 2 ladders
- If lightning strikes a pig, it becomes a Zombie Pigman
- New settings in options:
Ability to change GUI size (Small, Normal, Large, Auto)
Advanced OpenGL (Occlusion Culling) (For higher-end graphics cards)
- New Power armor image that looks like electricity (in /armor) This file is used when a mob is hit by lightning
- Items can now be smelted with Saplings with the same smelting power as Sticks.
- Dropped items in flowing water move faster than before.
- Pigs that die by burning now drop cooked porkchops upon death

Bug Fixes:

- Climbing a ladder with gaps will not work anymore, but moving downwards is still possible.
- On fancy graphics, the sides of grass blocks are now biome-specific and match the shade on the top.
- You can now move through flowing water at previous speed.
- Wolves have a better understanding of doors. (They will go through doors most of the time, but will sometimes get stuck on the 3 pixel thickness of the door. They will eventually back up for another go at the opened door.)
- The lighting on portals and ice has been fixed (previously had triangles on the blocks) when using Smooth Lighting.
- On SMP, the health of wolves are now syncronized between server and client, causing wolves to only whimper when low on health, opposed to all of the time.
- Redstone in off state is red again.

New Bugs:

- Achievements only work in SMP if you have already completed first achievement in Single Player.
- FPS counter shows Chunk Updates instead of FPS, usually while generating new chunks
- Crash when Detector Rails are placed beside normal rails.
- Blocks can't be placed on snow.
- If you change Advanced OpenGL to on and then back again, giant holes will appear that you can see through.
- Jumping off a fence in SMP triggers an anti-flight kick.
- Rain will fall through transparent blocks and stairs, acting as if there is no block there. This can be a problem if your house has a stair-made roof
- When hitting a grass block the destroying animation is darker on the side than the animation on top of the grass block, though only on fancy graphics.
- Flowing water no longer pushes empty minecarts that fall into it
- GUI: create new world input boxes misaligned under small and normal settings
- Sometimes you might not get an achievement even if you do what it requires to get. This can usually be fixed by doing it in another world.
- In singleplayer, game resumes when 'Achievements' is clicked on the pause menu, instead of remaining paused.
- Riding in a minecart from the south into a corner going from north to west (so it's not connected to the current track) will crash the game. Possibly also true for other directions, yet if you're going in the same corner coming from the east, it will work as usual.
- Trying to redirect a rail corner to another track using redstone (a switch) will crash the game.

I'm going to be getting my minecraft server going again soon and wanted to see if other people (besides those who played on it before) had any interest in joining in on this crackhead game. Hopefully it will be up by the end of the week, sooo please click the little yes or no if you would play with us!

(the number of people who *might* play will determine the computer we use to run the server so yeah... more people = better computer)
