i think 691 but only with ctap script, or combo of extreme skill and luck to press all nicely timed to miliseconds

the skybox is the limit
fireballhat managed to get a 1450 unit horizontal ctap (http://forums.tf2jump.com/index.php/topic,1817.0.html). I don't know if this is the maximum, but you could grab jump_measure and mess around for a bit to see what you find

If you can get a stable 200 fps, I believe this is the script to do perfect ctaps:

Code: [Select]
// eXiGe's Fast Perfect Crouch Tap for 200 fps cap
alias pct "+duck;wait 4;+attack;wait 8;-duck;+jump;wait 15;-attack;-jump"
bind mouse2 pct

Make sure to set "fps_max 200", which will make "wait 1" equal to a 5 millisecond delay (1/200*1000).

But anyway, horizontal jump distance is a bit hard to test because there's a few more variables involved.   See if you can beat 1450 though.

1250-1300 is the 'consistent' distance, I tend to find. As for max? Test it until you can't get it anymore.

I'd love to have that demo fireballhat. I'm trying to figure out what the optimal timings for a ctap are, and I should be able to get them from your demo using the atmo trick.

If anyone else has or can make a demo containing a high ctap jump (over 613HU vertically, off a solid and level floor, using the stock RL) I'd love to have it. The highest jump I've been able to produce so far is 613HU straight up by standing and shooting feet using duppy's ctap script. (Not a very useful jump, of course, but it's a good way to measure the power of different jump timings.)

The problem with stock is: to match the vertical of the original you have to be walking to the right. Here are two demos, the first using the 200fps ctap script, and the second with manual keypresses for your atmo trick thing.

A couple ctaps with both weapons for comparison.

Did them at 689, which is the highest I can consistently hit
