Jump Help / walljumping

I'm having trouble with walljumps in general.

I can't gain height or speed.  I have trouble hugging the wall after the second or third rocket.
I can get pretty far in four rockets, but definitely not as far or as high as I should be getting.

What tips do you have for this jumper?

Jump Help / Accelerating off wall jumps

I'm having some trouble doing wall jumps once I'm in the air.  I can't seem to accelerate. help?

in particular, i can't do the quadruple jump on rj_training_v3.bsp (still learning most of the basics)
