So here's a rough break down of how the checkpoints work now. They have a non-collision model w/ a huuggeee trigger area so you don't have to take any extra time to stop and hit the model. It's really hard to miss hitting the checkpoint. So it's not like it's going to add on +1 second every checkpoint. Plus it tells you when you're almost done! :P

no checkpoints imo (what does an 'exploitable jump' mean?)

I'm assuming for pagoda, twist and tholos ect. where you can go to the tele room from the start, thats the only reason i could see for checkpoints.
