1) There are few original jumps left to make so people feel like they're just playing the same thing all the time.
2) The original jumps are usually the harder ones, leaving nothing for the newbies to do.
3) Speaking for Australia, most of the top jumpers don't jump much anymore so the newbies have no one to look up to.
4) As someone else pointed out, there are people who jump only to the point where it's actually useful in comp.


Personally I would like to throw a hand at mapping. I have some pretty good ideas for demoman but they also aren't suitable for beginner/moderate jumpers.

Awesome! Please don't make any of the jumps overly long like some demoman jump maps have (scorpion 22, nbn 4). They can be long but they should be fast-paced. Also include lots of airpogos. Make it so hard that even MIKE struggles with it  :P

Good map though some problems:


Jump4- Should put an arrow somewhere. Also not sure why you made one wall partially glass. It looks like you can't use it.
Jump9- I already explained this one. You don't need to do the speedshot for the first jump.
Jump11- Not too clear on how the jump should be done. The arrow throws you off to an extent.
Jump13- Maybe it's just me but the first switch is hard to notice.
Jump19- Definitely should not be here. Should be around jump10-12



P.S. Why'd you have to add a wallpogo...I want to play a jump map, not see how long I can pretend to be spiderman.

The jumps are pretty long. But I guess there's not much you can do with short jumps that hasn't been done already.

Basically what Raiin said:
1) Convert some height into speed on 1st rocket
2) speedpogo on both trains. Slow down a little if you're going too fast
3) Last rocket, shoot higher and later.

Try to keep it as smooth as possible.

Whoo this map looks amazing. First hard demoman jump map that doesn't have a shitty 2-minute long wallpogo (or any wallpogos for that matter). Also the jumps look fun as hell and creativity is super high. I'm gonna buy a new keyboard just for this map when I get free time to play it.

General Discussion / Update- New Rocket Launcher

New rocket launcher added today.  http://www.teamfortress.com/uberupdate/

Maybe we can have a jump map orientated around this weapon seeing how it still retains full splash. This allows the soldiers to move faster since he has rockets that can keep up with him a little better.

What do you guys think?

Raiin is making new jump map that will be detailed from the very start? Impossible!

Note: I hate those kind of walls, the curved ones. Just put flat walls instead with invisible walls in front of them. Looks more aesthetically pleasing.

Also if it's not as good as ayer2, I will delete you off my friends list for realz fo shizzle.
