I dunno how you would fuck up two hours worth of recording, it's not like you have to record everything in one continuous session.  It can be frustrating for sure though.

Jump Videos / Re: First Jump Clip
« on: September 14, 2012, 11:30:37 PM »
The first video is probably one of the worst, most ridiculously overedited things I have ever seen, but the second redeems that a little.  Thought the badlands part was in kinda neat.

Lay off the editing a bit and don't put in jumps like the sawmill one, I'd rather have a much shorter less complicated jump that looks well structured and flows well than some horrible, sloppy disaster of speedshots caused by you trying to go too far.

Use Lawena, it will output whatever frame rate you set it to no matter how well you can run the game.  It'll just take differing amounts of time depending on your processor.

finished it , need some1 have good pc to record it
What are you talking about?  You don't have to "have a good pc" to record it, it will just take longer.

Oh yeah totally, let me just go ahead and listen to your absolute shit quality HLDJ dubstep micspam rather than listening to the music that I actually have stored on my computer and let the FL"10 gigs per file"AC just use up half of my hard drive. YEAH MAN FUCK THAT MICSPAM IS EPIC FOR THE WIN

Thought the soldier jumps seemed kind of haphazard/sloppy, but other than that it was okay.

It was pretty choppy at times though, probably one of the biggest problems I had with it.

Steam offline is fine if you put it into offline mode beforehand, but if you just lose internet connection while online it starts to get weird.

How did Shift get second? That video is overedited garbage.

Jump Help / Re: Where do I start Demo-jumping?
« on: August 19, 2012, 06:02:23 PM »
Oh, and which jumping do you think would give me carpal tunnel?

Just learn to move your arm rather than your wrist as much as you can, you should be fine then if avoiding carpal tunnel is your goal.  It's pretty helpful in the long run.  I eventually had to turn my sense down because higher sens movement is normally really wrist focused, more flicks of your wrist than there are long, smooth slides.

RJ is definitely more demanding in terms of movement though, shit loads of flicks and sudden angle changes.  Demo is much less, the movements are much more finite and in general is a lot more timing based, rather than super exact angles.

Jump Help / Re: Dropping down to start a pogo
« on: August 11, 2012, 09:43:54 AM »
Most of them you can make by just waiting until you are midway down or almost on the floor, shoot a rocket at the wall and go into the pogo.  You don't even really need any super exact angle since you're just using it to stop your fall.  For the harder ones that require more than one or two rockets you can just find the wallpogo tutorials, they're here somewhere.

General Discussion / Re: PRETTY JUMPS 'N STUFF | a movie by dellort
« on: August 11, 2012, 09:35:25 AM »
I don't like it as much as Freedom, but it's still really good.  It's less consistent with the quality of the jumps, I felt that it just had a few really key moments that shined (you can probably guess which ones).  Definitely the best I've seen of the movies for this competition, but there is probably a lot of bias going on there.
