General Discussion / The Jumper Sound Pack
« on: August 17, 2013, 12:41:33 AM »
If any of y'all remember my No Pain Sounds sound pack, I fairly recently updated it.

BEHOLD THE JUMPER SOUND PACK!  This will still remove the regen sound and every pain sound for the Soldier and Demoman, but it also removes the jumper weapon WHOOSH sounds now.  Feel free to pick and choose which ones you want.  If anyone has any other sounds that they want changed or removed for jumpers (like changing the Original shooting sound to the stock rocket launcher shooting sound or vise-versa), lemme know.  I might do it if there is a high enough demand.

Enjoy!

And in case you somehow couldn't tell, the sound pack names are links.

New Maps / Portal 2 Maps
« on: May 15, 2012, 10:11:03 PM »
I'm sure a lot of you have made some already, so post them up, and get some feedback and whatnot.
I've got a few, but I figured I'd post one that has no puzzles at all because it reminds me a bit of jumping.
Although it has very few similarities to jumping, it's a fun concept that I think some of you will enjoy.
Try it out and let me know what you think.  (So far, there is only one level, so it is very easy.)

Jump Help / Making Translucent Skins
« on: February 04, 2012, 11:18:34 PM »
I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, but I would like to know how to make weapons translucent (like with the normal rocket launcher).  I much prefer jumping in TF2 with The Original, so I want to make a translucent version of it.  If someone could explain how to do it (or do it for me :V), that would be fantastic.  Thank you in advance.

General Discussion / Old School Jumpers
« on: December 21, 2011, 04:11:31 AM »
Hey, guys, I felt there should be a thread for the super old school TF2 jumpers to hang out and reminisce.  I consider the old school TF2 jumpers to be people who have the gold or platinum join medal (and have been jumping since around that time).  My friend Walrus and I have been thinking about the old jumpers and old maps and all of that shit.  We started having intense nostalgia when we played on jump_seven together today.  I have so many good memories from when I started jumping in TF2 on the SNiGS servers (and later the joe.to jump server).  Maps like highclass, the original skyscrapers, or anything by bob were the shit, and it's fun to think about how jumping has changed since then.  I'm sure some of you guys jumped in TF2 before the pogo had even been invented.

So, yeah, come check in and say hi.
Feel free to share your memories here.
Talk about old maps, old jumping, old jumpers, etc.

I still consider APM the best jumper with bob in second.

New Maps / Floating Stickies Explained
« on: August 27, 2011, 08:51:13 PM »
Thanks to Billy Shears #1, I officially know how to make stickies float.
Until now, I only thought I knew (I was mostly right about it, though).
I will upload a DEV explaining how it works for other people to look at.
I will allow anyone to use floating sticky jumps in their maps now.
(Credit is certainly appreciated, but it isn't required.)
Demo jumping has been needing some new twist for a while.
I think this may help to make Demo jumping less of the same.

Tell me if you're interested.
I should have the DEV up soon.

*EDIT* Derp, I forgot to actually explain how it works.
Pretty much, water has to go straight through walls.
The walls can't go from the ground to the ceiling to work.
All water has floating abilities, but the walls increase the power.
Without walls, stickies are too heavy to be able to float.
Yeah, that's pretty much all you need to know for it.
Don't bother making it because the DEV will be done soon.

*EDIT* Here's the download link:

Enjoy! :D

Jump IT / JuJump iT / A Really Late Suggestion
« on: August 10, 2011, 12:49:57 PM »
As you guys know, the Sticky Jumper and Rocket Jumper were changed.
For this specifically, though, I'm talking about the Rocket Jumper.
One of my favorite things to do with it was to do the grenade taunt.
Because of the changes to it, now you die when you try the taunt.
I had some cool ideas for jumps I could do with it.
Now I'm not able to do them, though because I die.
I was wondering if you'd be able to make the Jumpers how they used to be.
I was thinking that it shouldn't be too hard to do, but I font know.
If you would be able to change them back, that'd be great.
If you can't, what about adding a command to turn on hurtme -999?
It's somwthing I've been wanting for a while, but I never asked.

Please change this. :D
Thanks.
