But how will I push my team mates off of spire and crater them? :(
I don't think its too much of an issue really, sometimes...but rarely.

WoW is garbage, you should punish him with no sex for 1 week for every minute he plays of it!

What I find a bit silly on their part is that they showed about 5 BYPCOMP frag videos while sorting out the computer issues players were having, I can't blame them for using it to kill time and let the viewer watching something but the 1st place award was partly to show the video before the finals and instead about 5 videos were shown and lessened the impact of the winner.

They could have at least shown a few frag videos and then pretty jumps n stuff to change the repetitive frag after frag feel, but in the scheme of things showing 1 of the winners would have been more silly.

Finals were crazy good though, I just wish LG won...

Um...This isn't typically the thing you would get serious about, especially considering you can locally mute players by hitting 'esc' and clicking the ear (mute players) button.

Jump Videos / Re: my speedshots try
« on: August 20, 2012, 09:47:38 PM »
You do not understand what a speedshot is, I only saw 1 speedshot through the video and it looked unintentional. 90% of that was just pogo and a little ramp slide. A speedshot means you can fall from any height as long as your rocket hits at the same time as you do and not because you're low enough that the splash damage pushes you back up.

A speedshot is where you and the rocket hit the ground at the same time, the result is you will gain a lot of speed and usually bounce high. This video calls it a 'skip' but it usually gets called either, check 3:50 for what you want.

TF2 rocket jumping: the ultimate tf2 rocket jumping tutorial I HD

I can't remember but from memory that laser rocket launcher is slightly weaker and makes it harder to jump with for that reason. This thread has links to ammo scripts and some other things you may be interested in.

Irrelevant.
I have jumped on 1 inch/360s and 12 inch/360s and have heard some people use a little under double that.
There is no magic secret to make you good, just practice!

airpogo: shoot det S
It can vary so heavily because you shot too high/low/left/right or because you were barely too slow or barely too fast....I'm not sure you have followed the conversation but to recap: PRACTICE!

MIKE practiced constantly for a month to get to where he is/was. Wonderland took a couple months. I took a few months. Choco has practiced more than he will mention.

Watch the tutorial, practice pogo, practice pogo, practice pogo, practice pogo and then finish map. Forget watching how to do jumps unless you have absolutely no clue, they're typically pretty obvious after looking at it.

How are you possibly jumping at >250 ping? I usually teleport all around the place even on Jujump, and my closest server forces us to demo-jump on EVERY SINGLE MAP.
It is well known that I am from Australia and would frequently play on Jump iT. I learnt to deal with it by predicting the outcome...if you mirror EXACTLY what you would do in 0 ping; in 250 ping you will get similar results..not exact due to server side jitters or whatever.

As for the demo only server, that is most likely Bernie's server and must still be on 'Demo week'. There's plenty of American/European/Australian/Japanese jump servers...most offer both classes.
