Jump Help / Re: Jump_Pagoda #11

Have you tried a normal w-jump off the platform? I find it easier, because you get more height and then you will already face the way you're going so you can strafe to the right wall a tiny bit faster, and get your first wallshot off sooner. And you will still have enough horizontal momentum from the moving platform.

From the moving platform you'll have forward momentum (or at least the direction facing the skip-platform), so you kind of want to start off your jump in the same direction as the platform goes instead of waiting for it to pass by the right wall (and then jumping in the opposite direction as the moving platform goes). That should give your jump some boost and it shouldn't be as hard to get to the skip.

Great stuff. The cartoonish intro looked awesome, and all the jumps as well ^^. The jump_quba was pretty damn wicked.

General Discussion / Collab 2

Hey!

So there's been a while since jump_collab was released and I've been thinking about starting up a second, and now there seem to be some interest in it.

The process would be similiar to last time, as in creating jumps and sending them to Drexen. But it's prolly not going to be a competition (ie no moneys since I'm poor), just a genuine work-together-kinda thing.

I was thinking it to be another soldier map, but maybe an alternative demo course could be made if you guys should want to make a map for demos. Old unused jumps will likely be fine to send, but imo they should be somewhat detailed or polished in design.

Anyway, if there's enough of you interested I'll start this up more serious and we'll make a map. So go ahead and post in this thread if you want to make a few jumps or have an opinion about how this collab should be done. Ciao!

Jump Help / Re: downward wallpogo into upward wallpogo and vice versa

I just tap d while holding w. It depends alot on where you aim though, if you're on one wall and have a steady descend you can easily just move your crosshair a tiny bit to your left and start ascending.

I liked it. I think you got a leak though, because when i nocliped outside the rooms it was messed up. But I'm not sure. Other than that I think it was a good, solid map.

A certain amount of time need to have passed before you can get the regen again. So there's the possibility to miss one regen because you went through it too fast etc. Sucks a lil bit, you're better off just doing !ammo on those jumps imo and try to stick to the amount of rockets the jump was balanced around.

The concept of the first course is pretty bad imo. It wont get played a lot in servers at all. Please fix that

That's some constructive criticism you got there.

I've been on and (mostly) off for two years now, and I was probably active a good two years before that as well. But even when I didn't play I lurked on the forums pretty much every day just to see how things were progressing and the skill cap is so much higher now than when I first started. I love the tf2 jump community and CZ is a huge part of it, so the way I see it if CZ die then half the community goes as well (the other half would be JumpIt). But that's just how I see it. Kaffee
