check out this guys channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/rocketrascal34

he has a tut for almost everything hammer related.
here is the playlist:
Small | Large

he is more focused for CS:S but everything is usable for any source engine game (tf2, HL2, DoD, FF, L4D1/2, ect) except specific game things (buy zones and map objectives sort of things mainly)

Since the people here are certainly dedicated, it'd be nice to associate this site different then other tutorial sites. One way of doing this is by having everyone agree on a map that meets specific criteria (i.e. a jump map that features specific jumps, can be big/small, whatever you all choose, nothing hard) and then have each mapper record video of them creating the same map. This would let people who are new (or experienced) see how the same map is made in different ways, allowing people to either learn a new trick or two, or a whole new style that fits them. It also gives the site some media to host and if you spread the word enough, will be linked to and possibly rage the site's ranking.

Just food for thought.

Apparently, I'm a robot.
mmm thats not a bad idea...but creating  a similar size and scale would be irritating imo, my TF2 to hammer scale in my head is always off and it would really only be blocks, no displacements, detail or lighting unless you were going for that area of mapping.

on the other hand i don't have a screen capture program and don't really plan on getting 1 :/

Would be very easy to setup. As for software, there is plenty of free software out there that will record the screen, in mpeg4 no less. Anyhow, was just a thought. This site could take off if people put in enough effort, but may end up going by the wayside (like the others). This is unfortunate too cause the FPS community needs such a site.

Do you mean by expanding it to cover other things besides just tf2 jumping? It's not gonna grow any bigger than the current tf2 jump community if it sticks to just covering jumping (which would be fine).
